About Cross Stone
Cross Stone is a family run business, established by Ross Barbour in 1988. Ross now runs the business with his sons James and Alex, both qualified property professionals.
We have a proven track record in mixed use residential and commercial development, regeneration and investment, throughout the southeast of England.
Our Experience
We have considerable experience in the acquisition of problematic brownfield sites and their subsequent regeneration and development through the planning process. The company has been involved in the development of over 500,000 sq ft of commercial and residential real estate, and has bought forward a further 7 substantial mixed use schemes through site promotion.
Drove Road Retail Park, Newhaven
Following securing planning permission from Lewes District Council, developed a new retail park and employment space on a brownfield site.

We have considerable capital as well as access to established funding partners allowing us to proceed swiftly on sites, often on an unconditional basis.

Residential conversion of a redundant former office building through a funding agreement with RBS.

We have an established track record for working closely with local planning authorities, land owners and occupiers either on an outright purchase or joint venture basis.
